Linda's Soda Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Linda’s Soda Bar & Grill feels like a gentle step back in time, where the hustle of the modern world softens at the door. Nestled in the heart of Yuba City, this diner is a warm gathering spot where familiar faces and new friends come together in a lively yet unhurried rhythm. The decor hums with nostalgia — walls lined with photos that honor both the town’s past and the local military heritage, inviting visitors to absorb stories that go beyond the plate.
Here, the mood is a thoughtful blend of comfort and connection. Whether the morning sun filters through its windows or the evening crowd settles in at the bar, there’s a steady pulse of everyday life unfolding with sincerity. Service feels genuine, a reflection of long-standing roots in the community more than polished formality, and tables often echo with soft conversations or the welcoming warmth of familiar voices.
What you’ll find on the menu is the kind of homemade, honest food that lines the memories of small-town breakfasts and unpretentious lunches. The kitchen crafts dishes that are both satisfying and inviting, from hearty classics tucked into crisp French rolls to fluffy omelettes served alongside golden hashbrowns. And for those with a sweet tooth, the desserts — whether a creamy coconut pie or a tangy lemon meringue — seem to carry a homemade sense of Sunday afternoons.
This is a place where locals gather not just for food but for shared moments — a meeting point for retired military personnel who find camaraderie along with great coffee, for families weaving their own stories into the fabric of a cherished neighborhood haunt. The warmth here is in the little things: the care that goes into a root beer float, the smile behind the counter, the comforting familiarity of a biscuit and gravy on a slow morning.
Linda’s Soda Bar & Grill isn’t just a diner; it’s a quiet keeper of community spirit, a spot where time moves just a little more gently and the act of eating is woven into the broader, quieter joy of belonging.

So my mom and I went for breakfast and it was like stepping back into the 50's. The atmosphere was amazing and super positive, not to mention the delicious food. This place is great and I'll definitely be going back. I got Loaded Biscuits & Gravy. Delicious. My mom and I just went to lunch again and had their pea soup which was delicious and their coconut cream pie which you gotta try absolutely amazing all the way around.

I love Lindas, the restaurant is already super cute but what I really enjoy is the homemade style food. I bring friends & family that come to visit our small town and after the visit they understand and love the small town vibes!! They really set the bar for service, we've been coming here since 2017.

They love our military and they support them, and the retired SR-71 maintainers meet up there periodically for breakfast. What wall is full of photos and images with Yuba City history, and the other wall is full of images with military history and photos of military personnel that were born and raised in Yuba/Marysville. The place is also really clean and fresh, and the food is awesome. Tony Bevacqua, who is 92 years old and still lives in Yuba city, flew both the SR-71 and the U-2. He signs several pictures of the wall, and so did many of the other military Pilots and personnel.
